20 Wildflower Baby Shower Ideas

My cousin is having a baby soon, and when I found out it was going to be a wildflower-themed baby shower, I was so excited. There are so many fun and colorful possibilities with this boho style. I got to help create some of the activities, so I decided to put together a big list of all my favorite wildflower baby shower ideas for you.

In this post, I’m sharing inspiration for:

  • Invitations
  • Decorations
  • Food and drinks
  • Party favors
  • Games and activities

The Wildflower Invitation

For our shower, we used an editable “Baby in Bloom” wildflower invitation that matched everything perfectly. You can find tons of beautiful, editable invites online that let you customize the text and colors. It really helps to have the invite match the theme from the start so everything ties together.

Wildflower Baby Shower Decorations

There are so many cute ways to decorate for a wildflower shower. One of my favorite ideas was a simple flower wall made with grocery store flowers. You can use them with or without stems and choose colors that match your party palette. It looks gorgeous and doesn’t take a lot of effort.

Another idea I love is a floral monogram. You can use a cardboard letter and add fake or real flowers using glue or pins. It makes a great decoration for the cake table and can also be a sweet keepsake for the mom-to-be after the shower.

For the tables, we used mismatched bottles and jars filled with different types of flowers. Just group three bottles of varying heights and fill each with something different. It’s simple, affordable, and looks amazing with all the colors and textures.

Wildflower-Themed Food and Drinks

We had so much fun putting together food and drink ideas that matched the wildflower theme. You can get really creative here and still keep it simple.

One of my favorite ideas was a macaron cake. We used a cone-shaped base and stuck macarons on with toothpicks, then tucked in a few flowers to match the color scheme. It turned out so cute. You could also use donut holes if you want a budget-friendly option.

Another really fun idea was using spring flower balls to decorate around the drinks. We placed them around water bottles and lemonade jars, and it made the whole drink station look amazing.

For a little extra detail, we made pineapple flowers to garnish drinks. They’re easy to make and look beautiful floating on top of something like lemonade or punch.

Speaking of drinks, we served raspberry peach lemonade and it was a hit. The colors were bright and pretty, and it tasted so fresh. Add a pineapple flower on top and you’re done.

The cake we used had a simple floral design that looked like something you could even make yourself if you have some basic piping skills. Or you could bring a photo to a local bakery and ask them to create something similar.

We also made a butterfly-shaped charcuterie board that turned out adorable. It was almost too pretty to eat. This is a great idea for grazing tables or finger foods.

To keep things healthy and on-theme, we also made a flower-shaped veggie tray. We just arranged veggies like petals around a bowl of hummus or ranch in the center. Super easy and very cute.

Wildflower Baby Shower Party Favors

I absolutely love the idea of giving guests their own mini bouquet to take home. It’s simple, beautiful, and so on-theme for a wildflower shower. All you need are a few buckets or large vases filled with grocery store flowers. Set out some square kraft paper and ribbon so guests can wrap up and tie their own bouquets. It looks thoughtful without being overcomplicated.

Another fun idea is to set up a bloom bar. You can arrange a few different flower types in containers and let guests mix and match their own little bunch. It also doubles as a fun activity during the shower.

One craft we tried that turned out really cute was dried flower ornaments. You can buy clay ornaments and a pack of dried flowers, then have guests use Mod Podge to decorate their own. Everyone gets to take home a unique little keepsake that feels personal and handmade.

Another adorable favor idea is to make DIY flower seed bombs. These are easy to put together and perfect for spring or summer showers. Just grab some wildflower seeds and follow a simple recipe online to create small, plantable bombs. Package them up in little bags or boxes with a tag and you’re good to go.

Wildflower Baby Shower Games and Activities

We kept the games light and simple, which worked perfectly for this kind of shower. One of my favorites was the floral crown station. We set out wire, floral tape, scissors, and lots of faux flowers so guests could make their own crowns. It was fun, creative, and gave everyone something to wear during the party.

We also printed out a set of baby shower games and laid them out on a table. Guests could fill them out at their own pace, which kept things relaxed. We had “Wishes for Baby,” “Advice for the Parents,” and a couple of fun guessing games. I used this printable wildflower set that matched our theme perfectly.

A photo backdrop with a flower wall or greenery panel is also a great addition. Ours was just a big piece of faux greenery we hung up with string lights and wildflowers woven in. It gave us the perfect spot to take photos with the mom-to-be and all the guests.

You could also set up a flower painting station. Just put out small canvases, paintbrushes, and a few sample designs or photos of wildflowers for inspiration. It’s a peaceful activity and everyone gets to take their artwork home.

Which Wildflower Baby Shower Idea was your favorite? I personally love the flowers in the ice and the butterfly charcuterie board the BEST!
